Ecosafe International
Steven Delides serves as a Principal Water Quality Consultant at Ecosafe International with over 20 years’ industry experience and has recently joined the IHEA Western Australian committee as the Technical & Standards Advisor. Ecosafe is a specialist consultancy focusing on the interface between water and health across all types of water systems such as drinking, process and specialist medical water. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science with 1st Class Honours in Environmental Chemistry and a Diploma of Water Industry Operations. Steve is grateful to have been involved with water quality risk management projects across many Australian mining and healthcare operations, and recently internationally on the new NEOM project in Saudi Arabia. Steve is passionate about assisting Ecosafe’s partners to achieve pragmatic and effective risk-based water quality management outcomes.
QED Environmental Services
Sarah Bailey has qualifications in Water Management, Medical Microbiology & Mycology, and has completed studies in infection control in the hospital environment, legionella control, and asbestos. She worked in medical diagnostic microbiology for many years, and has been a part of the Infection Prevention and Control teams within the hospitals she has worked in. At QED Environmental Services, she applies that microbiological knowledge to water quality and risk assessment, indoor air quality in hospitals, cooling tower risk assessment, and with our other various investigations such as mould and other health issues within buildings. Sarah also lectured on fungi at the University of Western Australia for many years, and has presented at Australian & International Conferences. She is also a member of the Institute of Hospital Engineers Australia, the Australian College of Infection Prevention and Control, and an Associate member of the Royal Society for Public Health.

Mark Collen is the National Water Manager and Senior Consultant for CETEC.
He holds an Honours Degree in Chemistry with over 30 years experience in the water treatment and science industry.
Mark is a Certified Chemist and water specialist having been involved in design and implementation of potable water plants in almost all QLD Health sites Mark has been a part of the IHEA for over 20 years.
He has been involved in design and implementation of AS5369 CSSD RO treatment plants for multiplex facilities in NSW and QLD. He is now working in measuring and remedying corrosion challenges in QLD and NW Health facilities. His particular focus has been on copper pipes.

Ben Gill is the Chief Executive Officer of PlasmaShield Ltd and is a frequent presenter at leading industry forums, including AIRAH, CIBSE, AMCA, and the Institute of Healthcare Engineering, Australia (IHEA).
He has also addressed members of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) on the evolving role of AI technology and governance.
He is known for his clear, evidence-based communication style and his ability to bridge technical innovation with practical outcomes for facility managers, engineers, and policymakers.
Through his leadership at PlasmaShield, Ben continues to advance research collaborations with universities across Australia, government, and industry partners to create cleaner, safer, and more energy-efficient built environments.
Ben serves as a Non-Executive Director of various companies, and is an Advisory Board Member for Praetorian Aeronautics, contributing to strategy in emerging technologies and sustainability.

John has extensive building services experience both in contracting and consulting roles. This includes delivering innovative and sustainable solutions and advice. John's expertise covers the design of mechanical HVAC and trigeneration systems, complex Independent Commissioning Agent roles, building tuning, energy audits and the resolution of post construction issues requiring detailed investigation and analysis of complex systems for laboratories and energy plant. John’s primary area of focus is sustainability and energy efficiency, working with building owners to optimise energy and water use within buildings, as the industry moves towards net zero emissions.

Dr Ramsey Awad is an accomplished infrastructure executive with over 25 years' experience in the planning, procurement, and delivery of complex public infrastructure across government, health, and education. His expertise spans capital works, sustainability, precinct development, and public-private partnerships, with a focus on creating infrastructure that delivers long-term public value.
Ramsey is currently the Group Director of Infrastructure & Strategy for NSW Public Works, which last year collaborated with government agencies to deliver $4.6 billion in infrastructure across 1,900 projects through its 20 offices across NSW.
He holds a PhD in Infrastructure and Health, and qualifications in architecture and construction management, complemented by executive education from Harvard and Cambridge. Ramsey is committed to infrastructure that strengthens communities and supports a more sustainable, equitable future for NSW.

Aaron is a registered electrical engineer, working as the Principal Asset Officer Technical at Children’s Health Queensland; he is also a guest lecturer at QUT. Aaron is passionate about driving continuous improvement and delivering low-risk, high-impact innovations in health facilities.

Andy Gay is a nationally recognised Consultant specializing in CSD design, capacity and compliance assessment. With over 37 years’ experience working in Healthcare facility management and CSD environments, Andy has delivered creative design solutions that successfully integrate new technologies and legacy assets whilst simultaneously bridging compliance gaps.A contributing member of the IHEA to Australian Standards, and a Standards representative to International Standards, Andy brings a unique perspective to the intersection where regulatory compliance and Healthcare facility design meet. His experience and expertise have provided practical solutions for hundreds of Health facility projects navigating this very space.As CEO and co-founder of SVA, Andy and his team are celebrating twenty years of delivering independent performance qualification testing of disinfection and sterilization processes for reusable medical devices. Andy’s research into the challenges of steam penetration to cannulated devices initiated significant scientific research into the phenomenon with Product Family categorisation now a fundamental requirement of Australian and European Standards for RMD management and testing.Andy has been a member of the IHEA organisation for over 25 years and proudly served as the Queensland President between 2004 and 2006. Mark Hooper is an accomplished engineering and project management professional with over two decades at Echuca Regional Health (ERH), where he serves as Executive Project Manager. Mark has led major capital works, including the $65.6 million redevelopment of Echuca Hospital, and oversees sustainability, compliance, and engineering services. A former Board Member of the Institute of Healthcare Engineering, Australia (IHEA), he is also an active Country Fire Authority (CFA) volunteer with nearly four decades of service. Mark’s career combines technical excellence, leadership, and community commitment, underpinned by engineering qualifications from Swinburne University of Technology and La Trobe University.

Before founding FiftyFive Group, Phil was Head of Shopping Centre Technology at Westfield (Scentre Group), leading a team of engineers and analysts responsible for 42 centres across Australia and New Zealand. His portfolio covered key operational systems such as fire, security, Wi-Fi, telecommunications, and smart building infrastructure.

Kellie Williams AFCHSM is an Environmental Scientist and Environmental Health Officer with a background in Nutrition and also holds a Master of Disaster Resilience & Sustainable Development and a Graduate Certificate in Health Service Innovation. Kellie has worked across Allied Health, Public Health, conservation, disaster management and sustainability roles in state government, local government and the NGO sector from the far north to the south-east of Queensland over the past 16 years. Kellie leads environmental sustainability and climate resilience work for Metro North Health and contributes expertise to other areas of Queensland Health and across the Sustainable Healthcare sector through various networks.

Chris brings a wealth of expertise in the healthcare sector, gained through his involvement in various greenfield and existing healthcare facilities. His extensive background has cultivated a robust analytical and technical skill set, contributing significantly to the success of his healthcare projects.
In his current role, Chris leads NDY's Victorian health market sector, taking on the responsibility for overseeing NDY’s operations within the Victorian healthcare industry. He works closely with our clients who specialise in this sector.
