See you on the Gold Coast in 2025!

Welcome

The Family Law Practitioners Association of Queensland (FLPA) is pleased to host its flagship event,
the FLPA Retreat, between Thursday 5 and Saturday 7 June 2025.

In the offering is ten (10) hours’ worth of content, developed by family law practitioners for family law practitioners - technical and practical sessions, and thought-provoking plenary sessions, with something for everyone, from sole practitioners/barristers and micro firms to those practising in large teams.

We are pleased to again host the Retreat at QT on the Gold Coast. Whether flying solo for the weekend, or travelling with family, there is plenty to do at the venue and within the surrounds of Surfers Paradise. In-house delights including impressive breakfasts at Bazaar, a fine dining Japanese restaurant Yamagen (offering sushi making classes and whisky tastings), spaQ (think massages, facials or roasting yourself in a steam room) and of course easy access to the Esplanade and walks along Main Beach.  We are pleased to host the Retreat mid-year again this year, to avoid the end of year busyness.

We will be stepping things up in 2025, turning our popular Friday Night Social Function into a sit-down gala dinner. The dress code will be formal - ladies, think long dresses, gentleman - think black tie or your smartest suit. The Retreat’s welcome and closing networking drinks are also great opportunities to catch up with friends and colleagues and to meet other professionals.

Be sure to treat yourself, and book the 2025 FLPA Retreat in your calendar.
