Project Officer/Allergen Project Coordinator, School Lunch Program

Alison has worked as an Environmental Health Officer in local government and has a background in agriculture and horticulture.  She has also worked as Quality Assurance Coordinator for food businesses to achieve HACCP accreditation.

She is currently employed in the role of Project Officer/Allergen Project Coordinator for the School Lunch Program.  This program is a unique approach to improving food security and health and education outcomes of school students in Tasmania by providing a nutritious hot meal at lunch time, eaten with classmates and staff at tables.  Alison has used her skills and experience to find practical and workable solutions that comply with regulatory requirements for the students with food allergies, within the delivery model of the program.
