Speaker Guidelines
Many thanks for your participation in the 2026 Australasian Cystic Fibrosis Conference. We are thrilled to have your knowledge and expertise showcased at the Conference. Please see information below to assist in the planning for your presentation. If at any point you have any questions regarding the event or your presentation, please do not hesitate to contact the Iceberg Team.

Location
Plenary sessions for the Medical Conference will be held in the Wala Mirr Theatre on the Ground Level.
Breakout sessions for the Medical Conference will be held in the Monngarrk, Banheep and Darrwal Rooms on level 1.
Community Conference sessions will be held in the Darrwal Rooms on Level 1.
Invited Speakers
If you are an invited speaker please skip to the following sections for information relevant to your presentation.
On Arrival
On arrival at the conference, please proceed to the registration desk to collect your name badge and meet with the Conference Organisers (Iceberg Events).
All presenters are to see the AV Technical Director to provide their final presentation files. See the AV team at least 30 minutes before the first session of the day starts. The AV team is available from the time registration desk opens and during breaks.
Please arrive at the stage area 15 minutes before your presentation. You'll meet with the session's chairperson to discuss introductions and equipment use. As a speaker, it's your responsibility to be in the session room on time.

Basic audio visual will be provided as follows:
Poster Presentations
Abstract posters must be presented in Portrait orientation not exceeding A0 size (841mm wide x 1189mm high). Posters may consist of text, tables, photographs, etc. and should contain the most current data available at the time of the ACFC, even if it was not included in the original abstract.
A display board will be provided for mounting your poster. To secure your poster to the board, you are required to provide VELCRO strips on the back of your posters.
Poster of Merit
You will be notified the morning of Saturday 8 August if your poster has been chosen as a Poster of Merit, after judging takes place during the day on Friday.
The official Poster of Merit presentation session will be held on Saturday 8 August during lunch, from 12:45 PM - 1:45 PM.
You or a member of your group must be at your poster to discuss your work during the formal poster session. There will be judges/chairs scoring each Poster of Merit presentation. Each presentation is allocated 2 minutes. Depending on time, there may be questions.
Poster Display
If you have been accepted as a poster display, you are not required to prepare a presentation with your poster, unless you are chosen for a Poster of Merit. Please see above.
Poster Setup and Removal
Access to set up posters is from 7.30 - 8.30am on Friday 7 August.
Poster removal begins after afternoon tea, at 3.25pm on Saturday 8 August. Posters may NOT be removed for any reason before that time. Posters not removed by 7.30pm will be discarded. CFA and conference organisers do not accept responsibility for posters left behind.
Travel and Visas
If you are travelling from overseas, please ensure you arrange your visa well in advance. The organisers will not be responsible for any missed travel arrangements resulting from visa requirements or delays.
The 16th Australasian Cystic Fibrosis Conference will be held on the 7 - 9 August 2026 at the Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre.
