Blaise Itabelo

Blaise Itabelo is a national community engagement leader and partnerships strategist with over a decade of experience in humanitarian work, refugee settlement, migration support and community-led development. Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and raised in a refugee camp for more than ten years, Blaise brings a unique lived perspective to governance, systems design and community empowerment.He currently serves as National Manager for Community Engagement & Partnerships at Community Refugee Sponsorship Australia (CRSA), where he leads national mobilisation, partnerships and government engagement for the Community Refugee Integration & Settlement Pilot (CRISP).Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles with SSI–Access Community Services, WorldShare Australia and numerous community organisations. He has built strong partnerships across government, councils, corporates, philanthropies, universities, NGOs and faith organisations, driving collaboration and social impact at scale.Blaise is passionate about social enterprise, inclusive systems, community mobilisation and governance that empowers people and strengthens social cohesion. He brings strategic insight, cultural intelligence and values-driven leadership to every organisational context.
