Associate Professor Stephen Pillinger is Clinical Associate Professor ANU School of Medicine and Psychology (SMP), ANU College of Health and Medicine, Head of Colorectal Robotic Surgery Sydney Adventist Hospital, having commenced Consultant practice in 2005. The major focus of his practice is benign and malignant colorectal pathology and has particular expertise in minimally invasive Robotic Colorectal Surgery, including Robotic Transanal Minimally Invasive Surgery (rTAMIS). He has trained in Robotic surgery in the US and South Korea and is one of the most experienced da Vinci Colorectal Surgeons in Australia. Steve is a founding partner in Australian Robotic Colorectal Surgery in Sydney. ARCS directors have proctored around 40% of General Surgeons in Australia during their robotic training. He is Director of the TR300 and TR400 Right Hemicolectomy and Low Anterior Resection Courses at the Sydney Surgical and Robotic Training Institute, and Principal Investigator and Co-Chair for the Asia-Pacific Region for the RoLaCaRT Trial.
