HumiGard humidifies and warms the dry, cold CO₂ (0-2% relative humidity, 20°C) gas traditionally used in surgical procedures to optimal physiologic conditions. This protects against the effects of evaporative cooling, cellular desiccation, damage, and inflammation, which would otherwise occur with the use of dry, cold gas.
