Harleen Kaur is a graduate of Flinders University, where her passion for general surgery and research was sparked. She has since been awarded a Master of Surgery from the University of Sydney and is currently enrolled part-time in a PhD program with the Gut Cancer Group at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) through the University of Adelaide. Her research focuses upon innovative techniques for personalized drug treatments and early detection of colorectal cancer.

Harleen is now a Postgraduate Year 4 (PGY4), General Surgery Service Registrar with the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN), on secondment to the Alice Springs Hospital. This experience has exposed her to a diverse range of surgical cases and provided valuable insights into the healthcare needs of remote populations.
