The 23rd Australasian Weeds Conference will take place at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) in South Bank, Brisbane, Queensland. This premier venue is situated in the heart of Brisbane, offering easy access to both locals and visitors. It overlooks the Brisbane River and is adjacent to the scenic South Bank Parklands. The BCEC is known for hosting world-class conferences and events and is home to Olio Cafe & Bar and Merivales Cafe Bar & Restaurant. 

The center is conveniently located within walking distance of South Brisbane Railway Station and Cultural Centre Station and is also accessible by taxi, City Cat, and car. Onsite parking is available from both Merivale Street and Grey Street.

Getting to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre

Public Transport

Train: The South Brisbane Train Station is within walking distance to the BCEC. many train lines run through this station, making it a convenient option for visitors arriving from different parts of Brisbane. Visit the Translink website for updated routes. 

Bus: There are several bus stops around the BCEC, serviced by different bus routes. 

Ferry: If you are coming from the other side of the river or along Brisbane River, you can take a CityCat or CityFerry to the Southbank Ferry Terminal, which is a short walk from the BCEC.

Parking: If you prefer driving, you can use a GPS navigation system to find the best route to the BCEC. There is on-site parking available, however parking can fill up quickly as the parking lot is available to the public. It is advised to arrive early to secure a parking spot. 

Rideshare / Taxis: Rideshares services like Uber and traditional taxis operate throughout Brisbane and can drop you directly at the BCEC.
