9.30am – 11.00am Getting started with telehealth

This workshop is aimed at healthcare providers who are starting their telehealth journey. Topics covered include: staff readiness and training, choosing your technology, choosing your modality (telephone versus video), developing business processes to support telehealth, and normalising telehealth to deliver telehealth. COH Lead – Associate Professor Liam Caffery

11.30am – 1.00pm Introduction to telehealth evaluation

When designing telehealth evaluation plans, programs should consider the types of measures that are important to key stakeholders. The translation of telehealth services from conception, through the pilot stage, and into practice requires tailored research and evaluation methods. This workshop will discuss the design and execution of telehealth evaluation plans, including clinical effectiveness, consumer and clinician engagement, and health economic considerations. We will discuss practical information about the methods used to evaluate telehealth services and explore relevant examples from our research. This workshop will be led by Dr Centaine Snoswell from the UQ Centre for Online Health team.

COH Lead – Dr Centaine Snoswell

1.30pm – 3.00pm How to start and sustain consumer involvement in telehealth research

Join our dynamic, consumer-led workshop designed to empower healthcare professionals and researchers with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively involve consumers in telehealth service design and research. This workshop will explore the importance of genuine consumer involvement, practical approaches at various levels, and address common challenges. Gain insights from COH researchers and the Telehealth Consumer Reference Group and discover innovative solutions to keep consumers engaged and motivated throughout the research process. Whether you’re an executive, clinician, service manager, researcher, or consumer – there is something for you!
