Dr Olivia Lee, Nathan Zuzic and Olivia Beattie from the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS) are dedicated to developing sports skills rehabilitation programs for children with acquired and congenital disabilities. The program promotes sports inclusion, fitness, and social connection, helping children reintegrate into their schools and communities. Their program, informally dubbed  “The Rehabilitation Olympics” in the hospital, offers introduction to accessible sports where children with a range of disabilities can try different sports, build confidence and learn about adaptive sports alongside their families. Therapists facilitate these programs in collaboration with Paralympics Australia and other sporting organisations. They offer education and support, helping families navigate community sporting pathways and the sports classification process.
