Mandy Tanner is the Disability Lead at Children’s Health Queensland (CHQ) and is currently jointly leading the development of CHQ’s first Disability Inclusion Action Plan (2025–2029) together with Nat Fell . A Senior Social Worker with over 30 years’ experience in paediatric health, Mandy has spent much of her career working alongside children, young people, and their families, most recently within the Queensland Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (QPRS).
Mandy’s most valuable professional insights have come from families who have generously shared their lived experiences. Through developing the Disability Inclusion Action Plan, she has been privileged to listen to those who face barriers to participation and to collaborate on creating more inclusive opportunities—for children, young people, their caregivers, and CHQ staff alike.
