Professor Karen Barlow, PhD, MBChB, FRACP, is a distinguished expert in pediatric neurology at the University of Queensland and Queensland Children’s Hospital. Internationally acclaimed for her groundbreaking research on traumatic brain injury and concussion, she has significantly advanced the understanding of persistent symptoms and developed innovative treatment and management strategies. With over 140 high-impact publications, Professor Barlow’s contributions are substantial. As the lead author of the first ANZ Concussion Guidelines, funded by the MRFF Mission for TBI, she is instrumental in shaping concussion policies across Australia.
