Since 2020, Carly has worked with children and young people with a neurological diagnosis having botulinum toxin injections under sedation in Rehab2Kids Department. She has been involved in providing safe and effective sedation to patients and has supported children, young people, and their families through this process with the Rehab2Kids and Outpatient multidisciplinary team. She provides education and has been involved in development of a procedure guideline for clinic to promote safe administration of procedural sedation to paediatric patients.
She recently led the Quality and Improvement Project - Are you ready? - Improving Transition to Adult Rehabilitation Services from Rehab2Kids Nitrous Sedation Botulinum Toxin (BoNT-A) clinic and worked with the Rehab2kids multidisciplinary team to improve patient and family experience in this area. Improving patient and family experience through effective preparation and education is something Carly is passionate about.
