Privacy

Health and Wellbeing Queensland and Queensland Health (the Organisers) and Iceberg Events (a third party contracted service provider), on behalf of the Organisers, is collecting your personal information from you including but not limited to:

  • First and last name

  • Email address

  • Organisation name

  • Position or role 

For the purpose of coordinating attendance, registration and participation for the 2024 Queensland Prevention Symposium.

By registering as an attendee, speaker, sponsor or exhibitor for this event you agree to your information being used for this purpose. 

The information will only be accessed by authorised employees within the Organisers and Iceberg Events.

The Organisers will use the preferred email address you provide to us to communicate with you. Dependent upon which email service provider you use; this may result in your information being transferred overseas. Data can be updated or deleted by you or the Organisers.  If you require the Organisers to update or delete your data you can request this by contacting Iceberg Events. 

Your personal information will be managed in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009 and will be collected for the purposes stated above and it will not be used or disclosed otherwise, unless authorised or required by law.

Registration

By completing your complimentary registration, you have confirmed your attendance at the symposium and acknowledgement of the Terms and Conditions. 

Symposium Updates

Attendees will receive event details electronically via the email address provided during registration. Please contact Iceberg Events if you need to change your email address or you are unable to attend.

Registration Inclusions

Refer to the symposium website for inclusions relevant to your registration category.  All other costs associated with your attendance shall be borne solely by you, and Iceberg Events and the Organisers shall have no liability for such costs.

Program changes - Disclaimer

The program is correct at the time of publishing, and the Organisers reserve the right to change any and all aspects of the Event including but not limited to, the Event name, themes, content, program, speakers, format, performers, hosts, moderators, venues, and times. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on the website and app.

Intellectual Property

Intellectual property rights for Event content and materials belong to the Organisers, Iceberg Events, sponsors, and/or speakers. Participants must not use or reproduce trademarks or trade names without prior written permission. Recording or transmitting any part of the Event, in any form, is strictly prohibited without explicit written consent from the Organisers.

Disruptive Conduct

By attending the Event, you acknowledge and consent that any disruptive behaviour or actions hindering the event or others' enjoyment of the content may lead to the Event Organisers exercising the right to exclude or remove individuals from event access.

Insurance and Liability, and Cancellation or Postponement of Conference

Insurance, including medical cover and travel insurance, is the responsibility of the delegate. Iceberg Events and the Organisers will take no responsibility for participants who do not obtain insurance. This includes, but is not limited to, travel booking cancellations; Event cancellation or postponement, arising from unforeseen occurrences or any circumstances that render the Event inadvisable, illegal, impracticable, or impossible; personal accidents or loss or damage to the private property of registered conference delegates.

Registration Cancellation

All cancellations must be made in writing to Iceberg Events. 

Photography and Videography Consent 

Photo and video content will be taken during this event, which may be shared via Health and Wellbeing Queensland and Queensland Health communication channels and materials. 

Should you not wish for your photo to be taken, or image to be used, please let us know by emailing Iceberg Events.
