Following two decades of project management success in the IT and tertiary education sectors, Louise is now focused on a career creating meaningful change for women and children in the Family Violence sector. Louise has always been involved in local community events and initiatives, and in 2013 co-founded a community based asylum seeker support group, providing material aid and enabling pathways into local services. Louise went on to run a state-wide asylum seeker charity in Victoria, and in 2020 worked with the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) supporting vulnerable and marginalised clients with psycho-social and practical supports. Louise is now working in the family violence sector with the Bayside Peninsula Integrated Family Violence Partnership and The Salvation Army Family Violence Program managing projects to build workforce capability to embed intersectionality in family violence risk assessments, to improve local family violence emergency accommodation response, and to map client journeys through local service systems. Louise has a Bachelor of Social Science, a Graduate Certificate in Family & Domestic Violence and is now undertaking a Master in Public Policy.
