Kylie McGrath is the Executive Director and Principal Solicitor of the Refugee and Immigration Legal Service (RAILS). RAILS is a state-wide community legal centre that specialises in immigration and refugee law. Providing specialist, trauma-informed immigration legal advice and representation to women fleeing family violence is a key focus of the work of RAILS. RAILS also works in the area of domestic and family violence prevention including through innovative family peace building programs deeply informed by diverse communities.
Kylie worked as a solicitor, primarily in the areas of immigration and refugee, disability and mental health law, as well as a consultant with UNHCR, before moving into the role of Principal Solicitor and then Principal Solicitor/Executive Director with RAILS from January 2019.
