Ingrid Macartney works at the Immigrant Women’s Support Service (IWSS) as the Acting Director & Senior Team Leader (has been at IWSS for over 6 years). IWSS is a specialist domestic violence and sexual assault service assisting women of non-English speaking backgrounds and their children. Ingrid currently supervises the Service Delivery Team consisting of 14 caseworkers from different professional streams: social workers, counsellors, and psychologists. She has worked in both government and non-government sectors in domestic violence, homelessness, settlement support, family support, counselling, disabilities and AOD. Ingrid has over 28 years’ experience in the human services sector in a variety of roles. Her educational qualifications are B.A Psychology (Hons), Master of Counselling, Master of Public Administration Management, Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Career Counselling).
