Good Shepherd has supported women, girls, and their families for 160 years in Australia.
Since 1863, we’ve delivered client-centric programs and services and advocated audaciously for positive social change. We work to challenge inequitable systems, laws, and policies to disrupt disadvantage. During the 2021-2022 financial year, Good Shepherd supported more than 75,000 women, girls and their families in their journey to being safe, well, strong and connected.
We provide place-based services in communities across Australia, as well as national programs including No Interest Loans (NILs) and the Financial Independence Hub (FIH).
NILs provide safe, affordable credit to pay for essential goods and services, with 0% interest and no fees or charges. Loan purposes include whitegoods, medical expenses, car rego and repairs, bond, rent-in advance and more. FIH supports people who’ve experienced financial abuse to rebuild their confidence around managing money and work through issues around debt and budgeting.
