In 2015, I self-curated and produced my first exhibition featuring a 43-piece collection of my Cultural works, the proceeds of sales from which allowed us to create the gallery and associated businesses with CEO Suzanne Goodchild. We opened in July 2016 and hit the ground running. By August 2018 we had outgrown our original premises in South Brisbane and in March 2019 we officially opened our CBD licensed venue featuring gallery, native foods inspired menus, in-house and external catering menus and regular events.
As a Wiradyuri Man, in fulfilling my Cultural responsibilities I have created an in-house program for emerging Indigenous Artists that we run on a pro-bono basis called 3CCDP. We accept one successful applicant each year and are in our 3rd year. Our 3CCPD Artists are exposed to all aspects of our business as a part of their development into professional artists, which means they are hands on from the absolute get go.
My personal work sells internationally from around $25k -$30k. We have a strong track record for producing big art, many of which are legacy pieces. Clients include but are not limited to: Brisbane EDA; Toyota; AFL; Sekisui House; ARU; QLD Department of Education; The Princess Theatre and we were approached to feature in the 2021 Brisbane Street Art Festival.
