The Medico-Legal Society of Queensland's 2025 conference theme is "Perspectives on Expert Evidence".

Expert evidence plays a pivotal role in the outcomes of legal proceedings, and this is most influential in medical negligence litigation and health regulation.  How this evidence is best developed and presented to decision makers to achieve a just outcome remains a vexed question depending upon your perspective. Understanding the responsibilities and potential liabilities associated with providing expert opinions is increasingly important for medical professionals.

The MLSQ executive has invited pre-eminent experts from a range of professional disciplines who will together contemplate the relevant aspects of this topic. We are confident delegates will benefit not only from the practical guidance offered by our speakers but also the thoughtful discussion of these issues from various professional perspectives, and the consideration of solutions and reforms.

The conference will be held at the Surfers Paradise JW Marriott Resort, located at the northern end of the Gold Coast, close to popular beaches and attractions. The luxury 5-star hotel boasts brand new guest rooms, award-winning service and a covetable location on the Gold Coast.

The MLSQ Annual Conference provides a wonderful forum for all members of the medico-legal community to connect and discuss topical issues in a social and supportive setting.

Don’t delay your decision to register to receive your preferred accommodation, and lowest possible registration fee.
