Dear Authors,
We are please to announce a call for abstracts for this one-day conference on Concussion/MTBI and Persisting Post-Concussion Symptoms across the ages. The conference will occur on the day before the Rehab for Kids Conference at the Brisbane Conference Centre. There will be interactive sessions in addition to plenary, poster and oral presentations.
Delegates may include medical and allied health professionals; education and disability professionals; parents and carers; researchers and students.
The streams may include:
Submissions are invited for presentations on paediatric rehabilitation topics within the above conference topics. Abstracts may fit any of the following methodological categories:
Quantitative Research:
Involves reporting of numbers or data collected using recognised scientific methodology specific to the research question. Examples include: clinical trials, systematic reviews, single case experimental design studies, validity or reliability testing, biomechanical studies and epidemiological studies.
Qualitative Research:
Relates to the development of theories or interpretations of human behaviour or experience. Recognised qualitative methodologies are used (phenomenology, ethnography, grounded theory) using data collection methods such as in-depth interviews, participant observation, focus groups etc.
Mixed method research:
Qualitative and quantitative techniques are mixed in a single study.
Practice Note:
Addresses timely issues in practice settings, practice guidelines or emerging intervention areas, or will express practice opinion that is supported by theory and evidence from the literature. Examples include descriptions of practice innovations, advocacy efforts, new technologies or products, and introductions to new interventions.
Other:
Includes topics where no formal research methodology was used. Examples include case studies, a report of an event or professional trip (eg overseas), policy development or a position statement.

You will be notified of acceptance of your submission by end October 2024 giving adequate time for travel arrangements to be made. All presenters of papers, posters and workshops, must pay for conference registration, and co-ordinate their own accommodation and travel arrangements.Upon receiving notification of acceptance, authors are required to notify the conference organisers of their intent to participate/present at the conference. Authors who fail to notify the conference organisers may have their presentations withdrawn from the program at the discretion of the committee.
