Kathryn joined Chemistry Australia over a decade ago in the combined position of Executive Officer Australia New Zealand Industrial Gases Association (ANZIGA) / Regulatory Policy Manager Chemistry Australia.
Kathryn was previously with the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry where she has spent more than 12 years in their Occupational Health and Safety Unit actively advocating on behalf of Australian employers both nationally and internationally. She specialised in the management of hazardous substances and chemical exposure.
Kathryn remains committed to developing industry positions on national OHS policy issues and encouraging national uniformity in legislation.
Kathryn has represented Australia on a number of international committees –Including work at the UN & ILO on workplace alcohol and drug policies, research priorities, hazardous substances frameworks, and classifications.
Before this Kathryn worked in the manufacturing sector managing health and safety.
Kathryn has a BSc (Applied Chemistry) and a Grad Dip in Occupational Hygiene.
